Has anyone changed the timing belt in situ in a RRC auto & air con, so plenty of rads in the way. I wondered how much I have to remove, or more to the point, how little I can get away with removing from the front of the vehicle to change the timing belt, any sugestions gratefuly recieved, thanks.

Depends how much of a masochist you are!

fan, cowling, rads, grille as a minimum unless you have the arms
of a roswell grey, the strength of a terminator and enjoy shredding
skin for fun.

I thought it might be a total strip of all those rads, do you know if it's possible to leave the air con connected & remove the rest. Had these beasts for years but never a diesel or auto, this is both. Cheers.

i think it is possible but awkward its a case of undoing the mounts and
moveing bits about to allow access limited by the reach of the pipes
you may find it is less hassle to pull the rad and regas the system
later if nothing else think of it as refreshing the AC system lube
which probably wants doing anyhow.
