Hi All.
I looking for some advise please I have a Range Rover Classic 3.9 Auto on a 92 plate. I'm having problems with the gearbox when I first got it, it was fine but after towing a caravan for 30 miles whith no problems. After i reversed the caravan i continued my journey home approximately 1 mile into this i lost all drive. I pulled over and went through all gears then it worked fine again.1 week later I set off in the car it wouldn't change gear until you hit 5000 rpm after this it seemed fine. For next 20 miles. At the next opportunity I changed the gearbox oil unfortunately I couldn' separate the exhaust so couldn't do the filter. The oil which came out was black, a bit Concerning. I refilled the oil and tried it but still the same. When I parked it up I went to move it 5 days later only to find it drove 6 foot then lost all gears. I left it 2 days and tried it again as before 6 foot and lost all gears again. I acknowledge it needs the filter doing and more oil nut can anyone give me any other ideas or is it new box time.
Thanks Andy.
