classic kev Well-Known Member Nov 25, 2009 #5 No, just get the original alternator reconditioned. Not that expensive compared to a new one. Take to a good auto electrician ask for new slip rings, bearings, brushes, rectifier and voltage regulator. That should do it.

T trikemadd New Member Aug 7, 2010 #6 its just a wire thats either come off the back,or come loose of the alternator.they corrode easily(wouldnt be a landy if they didnt).fit a new connector to it and it will be fine.10p fix
