i chose a safari snorkel just cause they look nicer on the disco1 than the other types that come through a massive hole at the rear of the wing. was easy to fit with very good destructions and came with everythin i needed to fit it apart from silicone sealant.

I can't afford one or I'd have one. All-in-one construction means there's fewer joints and less things to go wrong.

As it is, I'm in the process of constructing my own .. pics will be done when i assemble it, but the budget is £0.10, give or take £0.01 ish ... ;)

All I need for it now is a top of some sort ... then the balls to cut the wing .. ;)

Safari snorkels - real easy to fit ( ok I'm lying) but fairly straighforward to fit if a little fiddly. As for are they any good - bloody awesome.
I'm with 90boy, if you can afford one and can't be arsed to make your own then they are worth every penny - I got mine of ebay 2nd hand so it's worth keepin your eyes open.

I have a mantec snorkel the newish all in one jobby, No instructions so not had the balls to try and fit it yet....

Ive seen this come up a few times and always wondered how they exit the engine bay if you don't have to cut the wing.. or do you still have to just not as much as with others??

nope I just found fitting instructions and there's a whole heap of drilling holes.. surely that's there's ways without drilling so much...
