Mine wasn't actually the 'traditional' pollen filter problem, but a combination of blocked drains underneath the filter housing and water seeping it under the filter housing.............

Chances are tat it's a leak from the windscreen. Usually because of the bonding compound, if it's applied completely, will not leak. Unfortunately, if there is a break or slight gap in the bonding you could get a leak. You could remove the top outer top & bottom horizontal plastic trims and see if the bonding is correct.

Where are the air intake drains. Thanks.Might be air intake drains blocked on the o/s - mine was dripping on the n/s and this fix sorted it -
