Hi Guys,

I need to change my radius arm bushes but I have a question;

Is it possible to change the arm to chassis bushes without removing the entire arm? I'm guessing not.

If not, do i need 4 bushes for arms to chassis and 6 for arm to axle if doing both front and back?

If you are talking about not disconnecting the arms from the axle then theoretically you can by moving the whole axle to free the arm/chassis bushes but that would be a lot of hassle! As for what bushes you need look at Pro-flex website and that should give you an idea.

thanks for the replies guys.

It's a disco 1 and as its an off roader and i'm selling, I think rubber will be ok. Poly isn't going to add any value to the car and it will probably end up getting trashed by the new owner anyway and scrapped or something :eek:

Poly is a damn sight easier to fit on your drive though;);), even I managed it:D:D:D:D

Just don't buy the Brittpart rubber bushes, mine lasted 8 months and are now nearly as cracked as the set I took off. Thinking of poly bushes instead.

I'm doing mine this weekend. They have polybushes in so should be a piece of **** to get out. Whole arm will be coming off and new original Land Rover bushes pressed in with a vice. Got LR bushes for the rear too. Weren't very expensive and I'd rather pay extra for something that will last and probably give a damn better ride than the polys

Mad I can press the old ones out and new ones in for a few beers I even have spare arms so your motor isn't off the road re poly bushes I'm not a big fan others like then but I had some polys (not genuine poly bush tho) and they lasted 6 months

thank you for the offer Jai. Going to order the parts asap and I'll give you a shout.

Just trying to find new nuts and bolts. Only going to the rear trailing arms but my bolts look a little suspect and will probably need cutting off I rekon.
