2/ Any reason why you cannot get the measurements, pitch etc and just look for high tensile bolts of that size some where?
I did a search in French and just a bit down the page there are plenty of suppliers of high tensile nuts and bolts, if Norauto can't help you out. Mind you they might know someone who would if they are feeling helpful.

that is good news as it cost 27euros import duty and taxesPaddock have, they tell me, just opened a European warehouse to serve the EU. Would that be a source of suitable bolts at a reasonable price?
