Does any one know if there is a separate plug in for the radio for the steering wheel controls,or is it already in with the main plugs for the head unit?

Have changed to head unit and don't have any steering wheel controls..... It's not a major issue just wondering what it take to get it working.
Cheers

When you say "changed head unit" do you mean like for like?
Very few non-Rangie heads will work with the steering wheel controls and then usually only with an expensive extra bit of wiring.

I have gone to a DAB radio .....originally when I bought the range rover ,the steering controls didn't work....

You're doomed I tell yea laddy, doomed.

It could be something as simple as the rotary coupler below the wheel but it's doubtful that you'll get a DAB radio to link up with the old style controls on a P38.

Just pretend that they're for the machine guns.

Doomed, I will save the machine gun buttons for the boy...... Excellent come back....tho.
Thanks any way ,was worth asking as I'm still laughing at the last post......

Cheers .....

Do island 4x4 do the machine guns? I need some rear facing ones for the mini that keeps parking right up my backside. Just want him a bit closer (over the tow hook) so I can press the eas button to high.

stick an aftermarket radio in and you lose your steering wheel controls. there are kits out there but no positive info on if they work or not.

Anyway wouldnt worry too much about the buttons give it a few weeks and they will just seem so inconsequential well hope not but be prepared :)
