I have a 2002 Discovery TD5 ES with radio / cassette / 6 x CD player with remote controller on steering wheel. I believe radio is an R990. I can't adjust volume, station, function, etc either directly on the unit or by using the remote. Any suggestions before I remove the fuse in the event that I have to suffer Terry Wogan at high volume for another 2 hours???!!!!!

See if all the valves are alight or bin it and get another.

Didn't intend to upset Terry Wogan fans, but talking of binning it and getting another was the best suggestion I made to Radio 2!!!!

You haven't had any water drip on it have you? iF so remove it and look inside you may be able to clean up thr PCB, but as usual there's no hope for it and the repairers want something like £80-100 just to look at it.

That sometimes happens to my radio, and also the speakers on one side don't work, I just give the dash above the radio a bang with my fist and it usually sorts it out for a little while, I need to take the radio out and chech the wiring and check for internal damage
