Hi all, I’ve got a 2003 l322 3.0 diesel vogue. I’m having issue with this blasted radio, I’ve change the bm54,amp and sat nav unit as the radio did not do anything.
I be got to a point that everything works with great sound but only stays on for a minute then the sound switches off. I can turn the radio off and back on, the sound comes on for a minute and then off.
I’m stumped what it could be.

That's OK but a corroded connector somewhere in the system may drop the voltage at the point of use.
Possibly, I’ve checked the powers going to the modules and amp and they are all the same. Could I be a dodgy amp?
Would disconnecting the battery a bit help.
I’m just stumped at this point

Watching.
I've had the same problem for months, i'm driving around with no music!

I've changed all the components in the rear quarter and thought i had it narrowed down to a broken wire (speaker wire) from the DSP amp, but after a lot of head scratching i'm thinking it the damn Dsp amp.
So I've sent it away to be tested on a RR that has a working radio, that's were i'm at today....

Does yours have music for a minute before switching off?

Yes it does....when the music is on i wriggle the wires on the DSP and bang it goes off, and i cant seem to get it to work again until the next day or two again for a brief moment.

its either that or as i'm in the back wiggling the wires and power has dropped and bang radio goes off!

have had this with other brands and it is usually because the audio system is coded to the cars body control systems as a security measure. Changing the audio or leaving battery disconnected for extended period results in loss of "memory" which has to be reprogrammed. Not sure if any of the aftermarket code readers/programmers will do it or if you need a dealer's kit.
