Hi all. Was wondering if anyone knew where I can get a new diversity radio as my screen has given up the ghost and can't see a thing to put in radio code. Well I say new I mean second hand or to repair mine. Have been trawling ebay but they want stupid money. So please can someone assist me.

Great excuse to go aftermarket. You can get single din stereos with built in Sat Nav, Bluetooth, IPod connectivity, etc (I also think you can get ones that support the steering wheel controls?). It amazes me how much the crappy original stereos go for on eBay. These cars are worth so little now it's hardly worth keeping everything OEM.

Hi,
Aftermarket compatibility with the door-monted amps and sub isn't straightforward, that's why the radios are so sought-after second hand. If the display is dark, it's most likely just the illumination bulbs that are shot. They're fairly easy to replace if you don't mind cracking it open.

Clarky130 made a guide on how to use aftermarket headunits with the HK speakers. You'll have to drop him a line and ask if it is still available. He hasn't been around for some time but hohum, can't hurt to try.

The illumination is fine its just the screen seems to have all moulded into one. I've tried clarion and they don't repair units that old. grrr

You can get a lead you plug into your wiring loom from nexia over in papworth cambridge ... Costs a bargin price of 45.00 and works a treat I fitted a alpine head unit to mine and O.M.G what a sound difference iphone plugs in and bang love it .....buy one .... Simples

Is it really that easy? Does it convert the output from the new unit to match the input of the built-in amps in the car? How about steering wheel controls, do they work? If it really is a plug-and-play conversion i'm going for it, but would like to hear from someone who's tried it. Mine is the Clarion head unit with cd-stack in the boot.

Send an email to GB 4x4 Radios they seem repair these radios and all the prices are listed on that page. From what I can see it looks like its £87(+shipping) to repair. They can also add an aux in jack. I haven't used them myself but I remember seeing some other people who had.

The screen on my Clarion RDS Diversity is broken to but to put in the radio code I just type in the code on the keypad using then numbers then after the last number has been typed in it comes on.
