I`ve looking through my LR owners manual and noticed that if anything went wrong with the radio i might have to put in a code to get it working again. Ive had my 300TDI ES nearly 2 weeks now but cant seem to find a card that the code is written down on.
Is there any way of finding out what it is, the same for resetting the immobiliser by turning the key left to right in the lock, i dont have the code for that either.

Any ideas

On the subject of radio codes,
a couple of weeks ago i stupidly forgot to switch the lights off on me disco its a 94 with the original radio. I cannot find the code for it. The LCD display isn't or wasn't that special either. Would i be able to get this stereo working again somehow, or would i have to take it to a dealership to get it re-coded, or scrap it alltogether and just put in a nice C.D player.:(

Well £6.95 is £6.95 I'm not a rich man you know and only want the code so I can sell my head unit and cd stacker. I am determined to get it free!

somehow got the impression it was a point of princial.
must admit i was lookin tday at work, found that russian list thing in english but still dont give code, wonder if that rave cd mite help?
i know ford use a thing called oasis through their TIS system..
LR probly use same thing...i used to work f Jardine motors couple yrs ago so used to get anything car related for free.
but not so easy these days
god am a boring w*nker arnt i ?

Yes its principle I'm aftraid. I figured I will probably only get £20-£30 for the stereo so £7 for a code is a lot. I wanted a ford code for my last car and ebay were doing it for 99p so my budget for the code is free - £2.

Looking at your avatar, your not one of those 'handshakers' are you?

Rev, got that radio software.. an it does actually work..
But not for the radios we have :)
tested it with a ford radio and gives code spot on. the philips one in disco
comes out as unknown model number..bullox!.
i get impression y just have to spring for code. or flog without one..
its only 7 quid after all.

Had a good ol' traul of the tinternet and couldnt find the correct software for the Phillips units. however got a bunch of other decoders if anyone want them...

Was there not some trick long ago about putting a locked-out radio in the deep-freeze overnight, which unlocked it again?

I think read that somewhere ....

Anyone know about that?
