Can anyone help had to change my battery on my freelander and need a radio code I did read that it’s the last 5 number from serial number can anyone help crack my code
Bar code 4865BU065028928
Serial no 65028928
I’m new to this site so a rusty on what to do on site

I've never come across a code in the serial number before. Normally it's not printed on the radio, for obvious reasons. A trip to LR might be in order with your V5 for proof of ownership.

it will cost about £15 at the local dealer to get the code unless you know somebody who works there.

I bought an MG ZT a few years ago with no radio code, I didn't want to far about so I used these guys https://www.radiocodes.co.uk £20....

My local LR dealer got me the code for free, the last time I needed one. They printed it on a headed letter for me, which was nice of them.

All sorted found a site on line cost £8 and radio now working all good can start singing again lol

There are web sites that can supply a radio code for free.

I've removed the radios from three Freelanders and subsequently put them back in and never needed a code.

When I bought my freelander last year, the previous owner gave me a stack of documentation, enough to to fill a big shoebox but nowhere amongst it is the radio code. Why don't owners write the code in the back of the owners manual or service book. Grr.
