I’ve got a series one radiator waiting a trip to the tip. It came attached to a series one front panel but it’s un tested. It may very well be a good one but you just can’t give gear away these days without someone messing you about.
I don’t think a recore is any less than a modern replacement. The only advantage is originality if that’s what your after.
The front panel, being alloy, is on Henry. What happened to the front panel and was it any good ?

THE PRICE QUOTED FOR RE-CORE HERE IS £420 WITH COURIER BEARING IN MIND IT A SERIES 2 RAD AS IS THE ENGINE IN MY SERIES 1,I'M A MEMBER OF THE SERIES 1 CLUB AND RE CORE SERIES RADS EXCHANGE
£375 which are no good to me as the front panel has been adapted to take the series 2 rad the series 1 stood for twenty year and the rad still had anti-freeze ,flushed and refilled with new anti-freeze 5 year ago and decided to dump it's contents over the floor ,toying with series 3 new rad at £180 new but do like the look of the old rad ,like 1 said the Devon prices are cockney led and i'm looking for Brummy prices and a faster turnaround

Sorry I didn't see those prices only mentioned it as they are local to youthe place in Exeter https://www.radiator-repairs.co.uk/
So a standard core with carriage and vat included would be £428.52 incl. subject to any price change by suppliers. Turn around time would be 4 - 5 days.
thanks anyway Kev12
I would happoily gift the bleedin thing but only under the strict rule that I dont have to mess about with it. It didnt cost me anything and is totally useless to me. I have used the front panel off it so its just the rad. It was stored outside in a garden for years when I bought the panel and once separated lived down the side of my shed for a year before the Mrs got brassed off with it and was dumped inside the shed until now.@Bobsticle how much do you want for the series 1 rad?
friend of mine needs one there is a hole in the brass top of his
If it can be collected its yours
