Hello all. TD5 2002 Diesel Automatic here.

I've put Liquid Moli rad cleaner in and was looking forward to ticking this one off first thing today but it's nighttime now and well, I'm here asking for advice

I am a novice. Guidance seemed very simple for this job as per video.. if you can get the nut off that is, which I can't, it's not budging and the faces are wearing.

I need to get all of this cleaner out and the water running clear before filling her up again with antifreeze.

Am I OK to do the same flushing procedure once the bottom radiator hose is removed as I would have with the nut off? I have been reading here and air pockets seem to be a problem, which I am still unsure of how to solve. Is the bottom hose beat accessed from under the vehicle, same as the nut? It looks like it. And have I identified the hose correctly? Directly above the nut? (pic attached).

These are baby steps so please bare with me. I've read elsewhere that I need to remove the top hose, radiator hoses and heater hoses. I'm up for doing whatever I can, just want some guidance so I don't go and create another problem.

Thanks all!

Hi Jamie. Do a search for RAVE, the workshop manual, and down load it. It has all you'll need to know.
As with any job involving fluid drains e.g. gearbox oil, make sure you can undo the filler BFORE draining.
For the coolant drain plug- can you get a pair of grips on it?

hello mate thanks for your help.
what I've done is take off the hose and drain then fill with a hose, then drain, then fill. I did it a few times and managed to get it down to clear so I think it's a case of mission accomplished, albeit not ver professionally!
