I have to say, if you are going to need LZIR you couldn't really be in a better place.

There is plenty of help available around Leeds and the Dales (unless its Belford LOL)

You would be better joining some trips though, plenty going out in the West Yorkshire laning and North Yorkshire lanes threads.

And is Fountains Earth really 6 miles long :D

better still - dont go out with that in mind - go with peeps and dont drive lanes that are likely to need recovery.

i know the AA do have defenders that they use at festivals and the like

however around colchester there is a kitted out disco with "LAND ROVER RECOVERY" or something on proper signage so it is a thing

there are certain insurance companies (landy specific ones) that will cover you for greenlane/off road recovery i know someone that had to get recovered from wales to bucks after having problems out greenlaning.

Rac have awd transits

Drawing on my experience involving a police example of the breed back in the 'eighties - they are useful on greasy & snow/ice covered roads or building sites, but off-road they are likely to need their own recovery :p
Also, in this world of litigation you have to be very street-wise in sussing out the driver you are contemplating assisting, as gratitude can quickly turn sour if your well-meaning recovery attempt goes tits up.
