Hi guys so I recently bought a Land Rover discovery 2001 td5. My partner discovered the r9 fuse is missing from the fuse box under the bonnet and I think he said the fuse box under the steering wheel as well. The car does drive and run however it appears to go into limp mode. I was wondering if anyone could shed light on why the r9 relay may have been removed and what does it do exactly? I understand it’s the main relay but I can’t find to much information on it. Thank you in advance and sorry if this has already been covered, I couldn’t find to much information on the r9 relay missing.

Best wait for @sierrafery electrical wizard to reply!

Also pop over to 'Introduce yourself' to let us know what, where and all that!

Does wonders when you have problems later on (Landrover owners 🤔)

Hi. R9 should be a relay not a fuse so be more specific that R9 relay or F9 fuse is missing cos if you remove R9 without bypassing it the engine would not start whatsoever

take a gander
