Hi im new to this forum, Im currently rebuilding my 87 Land Rover 90. I have recently purchased a td5 chassis to build my 90 up on. Ive removed the td5 engine mounts ready to weld my 200tdi mounts on but was just wondering will my lt77 gearbox bolt to the r380 mounts already on the chassis? If not its a simple enough fix of just cutting off the r380 mounts and drilling some holes to put my old lt77 mounts. But i dont like cutting and drilling into the chassis so i thought id ask the question first. Cheers:)

Cheers mate, im struggling to see how it can fit though cause on my original chassis the hole in the mounts which are bolted on are about 2" furthur back than the hole in the mounts welded onto the td5 chassis. Suppose i could weld my engine mounts on 2" furthur forward on the td5 chassis which should cure the problem? I think?

fit boxes and offer engine up first, td5 sits as 300 which is a couple of inches ish further forward than 200tdi and before

Thanks alot mate, So fit gearbox, bolt engine up and then weld engine mounts to suit. Should be a few inches forward
