Right, here's an update. Got a full refund on the exploding switch and saw one for auction and I won it for £2.99 post free. It was a single channel "jog" mode remote switch, one button operation. Wired it in today, spliced the + and - supply from the R/F receiver, cut the orange wire and wired it so the circuit is complete when the button is pressed. All seems fine, the R/R remote does not operate until the switch remote is pressed and you cannot leave the R/F live so hopefully no more burnt out locks etc. Just makes you think of the profits being made on the latest R/F units at £240 +:)

Well thank you, it was your original post that prompted me to try. If you change yours to a single channel "jog" switch ie. the circuit is only made whilst the button is pressed, then you will do away with the forgetful wife problem.:D:D Thanks again

was starting to think along those lines might save me some aggro and you the becm wont be woken up by anything, its an easy swop on mine as I made it plugnplay with a connector of a scrapper
