am just putting my 109 series3 on the road after a 14 year rest have got most of the mechanics working fine but swivel balls are very rusty and both seals are leaking fluid i know they will have to be replaced in the not to distant future but was wondering if i could just fill them with grease for a short term quick fix so i can do some driving in it has anybody else tried this and will i be causing damage to any other parts thanks for your anticipated words of wisdom

one-shot swivel grease will stay in there a while.
you can get it from haddocks

my rusty balls leak grease pretty bad, globs of it drip onto the wheels and generally make a mess..... there's still plenty grease in the swivels though as well as all over me drive and shed floor.....

been on the phone to bearmach there swivel balls are 78 pounds plus the vat paddocks are doing them for 45 plus vat will be filling mine with grease for now but will have to replace them soon are the bearmach ones worth almost twice as much as its not a job i want to be repeating in 12 months time

Paddocks also do camber adjusted swivels - to negate the need for camber adjusted arms - pretty expensive , but a better way to do the job, if you have 2"+ lift.

got to be honest i bought my first ever landy a couple of months ago and have been replacing parts ever since all this talk of 2 inch lifts and extended shackles is totally lost on me i just want to fill me balls with grease and have a go in the beast before getting round to swapping the offending balls for a nice shiny new set so thanks to all of u for ur endless wisdom and help but which ones would u go for 45 quid paddocks or the 78 pound ones from bearmach

I got a tub of CV joint grease from a local auto supplies shop and bungs stacks of that in using a syringe. It stopped leaking an the noise from the shagged CV joint went. I ran it for over a year before changing the swivel housings.
