just picked up a 3.9 v8 R reg 88600 on the clock 8 months tax and mot boot floor good rear arches been done paid £1300 only down side is the abs light is on but the srs air bag light isnt result :)

They've gone up like buggery in the last 12 months for some reason. The last disco I had I paid 600 quid for with a year's test and a load of tax. Ebay is not a good place for a bargain anymore.

i dunno you just got to look for the right one on ebay got my friends XS R plate for £1300 only had 88600 miles and loads of tax and test and it wasnt a rust bucket.
i think the price hike is has something to do with the last shocking winter and this one dont look like its going to be any better i watched d1's go up in price between £300 and £800 as soon as the snow settled

Biggen is right, snow tax counts for a lot now. You're alomost into 's'reg TD5 territory (albeit ebay unwarranted etc) for the price the dealer is asking. Best bet is to find a friendly Disco owner in your area who is prepared to go and look at private sale vehicles with you, you should get a similar age/spec/condition for a little over half the price, just make sure you hold some cash back for bits and bobs.

£2300 with 76K on it. FSH and all invoices, MoT's, tax discs, 2 keys and so on. I did buy at a car auction though, but I do know a good 'un when I see one.

This was in early 2008.

It is an 'S' model with dealer fitted A/C which I love - No sunroofs, ACE or SLS to worry about :)
