Hi guys,

after a little more digging today turns out i need some welding on the rear arches.

is there a quick fix for this to get me through the winter, in the spring i will then weld it up.

problem is as it started snowing yesterday i dont fancy taking the back wings off etc to do this job when i could do with the car in the snow.

Snow? :( anyway what about a glass fibre repair and then under seal. It may last longer than u think.

Thats only small you should be happy! Cut it out patch from the inside use a portable heater plug it in inside your car to keep you warm, jobs a good un!

yeah it was snowing up on the peak yesterday.

with regards to glass fibre is it the standard resin fibre glass stuff from car spares.

if i do this will it be a pain in arse to get off when i weld it in summer

Yes and yes some extra work in removing it, but then if you do a good job you may find you will keep it.
Don't bother with the boxed kits get the materials from a body repair supplier they will have larger sheets of fibre plus all the other stuff require ie. rust proofing + paint.

Why not weld it now? It wont be any more work than fibre glassing it now and then stripping the fibre glass off later
