I need to change a terminal on my battery (D110).

Has anyone fitted these to a car? They seem to be advertised for leisure batteries only, motorhomes, caravans etc., but they seem like a good idea for landrovers requiring frequent tinkering.

Am I just being lazy?

Same as Biolandy, a great idea, but even on our caravan they soon worked loose. I'd imagine a Landy wouldn't be as good .. though mine were cheap ones!

if you just want them for quick battery isolation you could try the ones at the bottom of the page VWP - battery clamps Doesn't say what current it is rated at but appears designed for car use (rather than leisure) so should be ok.

i bought the cheap un's and to be fair to it, it spins over the same as when it was on a traditional connector. I dont think it would be up to sustained turning over to be honest, but its been sound so far

I think I will just get standard jobbie. Prefer tube - type rather than the fragile looking screw - down clamp type.

Some French cars use quick clamp battery connectors. You may be able to bolt your wiring to em as they often have a big bolt on em too.

Don't like em myself. if you have a winch then a solid bolted connection is always best.

For a std vehicle as a saftey then its great to be able to disconnect quick.
