My insurance is up for renewal soon, but my existing insurers decided to treble the price this time round

So, I'm now going to get on the phone and get some quotes in, however, I've just realised something. My Defender is standard, no lift, no snorkel, runs on steel HD wheels etc, however it sits on a galvanised chassis. Would you class this as a modification?

I would say no. I would not make any mention of it unless you are thinking of jacking the value up because of it. It is a bog standard chassis with no modifications. Protective coatings are not classed as a modification.

If its a standard chassis [galvanising is just another type of protective covering]then no.
