Daft question most probably but I am about to pick up a 1986 RRC. Full MoT and recent welding on the sills so basically sound.

I know there are some rust bubbles at the rear but would like it to be done properly.

This car will be a keeper together with my LR S2A so I don't want to bodge it myself.

I keep seeing adverts locally for "Superchips" mobile repair-type companies. Would any of these be able to deal with rust bubbles or do I need to find a bodywork shop?

Yes. Will post pictures when she is mine!

I am new to RRC ownership but I assume that lower tailgates in mint condition with a chocie of colour (cypress green) are like rocking horse excreta?

Yes indeed they are, in any colour. My '87 is the same colour as your's - nice isn't it?
