Hi all, looking for a bit of advice. I'm a proud owner of a 1999 td5 that has developed a problem .I have no hazards, no interior light, my front windows don't work either and my heated screens don't work. I've had a look at the fuses under the steering wheel and all look OK. I've had a look under the bonnet at the fuses there and fuse 7 has no power either side of it. Any ideas. I have a bit of knowledge but struggling here
Thanks in advance George

Check fusible link FL3, .... F7 and 8 should have feed only when the heated screen is switched on as the relay to be closed

Water ingress in the under-dash fusebox / IDM? It's easy enough to take it out (at the cost of a few skinned knuckles) and check. You need to pop its lid off to get a good look inside.

Hello Ian. Thank you for your reply. I've been under the bonnet and had the fuse box out from under there. I found 3 wires rotten through and crusty with green crud. They were disconnected completely. I've cleaned them up and reconnected them. That's gave me power to the blower and side lights. Looks like its the cabin fuse box next. Is it a similar arrangement as the engine bay fuse box with a heap of plugs behind there. Vehicle electrics give me the fear tbh and disco electrics seem to be fairly unforgiving by the looks of it

Update so far, disco is still sitting. Cabin fusebox has been out and is like new .Changed bcu for a second hand one and that has given me my front windows, hazards etc back but it's immobilized and keeps kicking me out when I try to programme it using rovacom. Next step is to find a bcu that has the EKA code. Hopefully that will allow me to set my fobs and injectors and get her running again
