if you take the petrol feed of to the carbs and turn on the ignition the electric pump should do the rest:)

It's diesel. It don't have carbs. The fuel pump will sieze cos diesel lubricates it as it flows through. Petrol would strip away all lubrication. If the fuel pump in the engine siezes it could be catastrophic. DON'T DO IT.

you could do the work yourself, and so save all the cash there, also the aa have a service whereby the come and drain your tank and refill with the correct fuel, at cost.

AA Fuel Assist : misfuelling - what to do if you've put petrol in a diesel car - The AA

dunno how much they charge but get a quote from landy and from aa, the aa should be cheaper!!!

on the other hand i can take the car off your hands and reimburse you for the fuel if ya like, i'll even lend you my p38 till you can buy a new one!!!!

The RR TDV8 has an anti missfuel device, obviously that didn't work, do isn't it a warranty job?
Failing that, I met some one who claimed filling with petrol was an accident, and his insurance company coughed up!

It is a lot of work to do it yourself. Not impossible but a ramp or pit is a real advantage. It will take a day to do it yourself though.

The AA fuel drain service WILL NOT drain a saddle bag tank without a direct access sender unit using their mobile units. THE TANK HAS TO BE REMOVED TO DO IT. They don't remove tanks at the roadside.

Stick a half a gallon to a gallon of cheap engine oil in to the tank, allow some time to mix & use yer pump to pump the lot out. Back in them there old days folks used to drive diesels with kerosene/lubribating oil mix so as not to destroy the main injector pump.

You Can But A Hand Held Pump From Screw Fix For Around £20. Best Thing To Do Is As Above Lubricate It And Use The Pump To Drain As. Tho Still Ring Around A Few Places For A Quote But Not The Dealers.
