I think iv mite have f@cked my timing up. I'm changing the timing belt but noticed water behind the timing case, so i took the cam timing gear off and the pump gear off, but I undid the nut on the gear. But the timing pin was left in place. In now put it back. But is it to late?????

All I did was take the nut off, with the pin in place, then put it back on. So it's ####ed , even tho I didn't take the pin out. Sorry if I sound dull, iv never done this before .

pin holds pulley not shaft but as long as shaft didnt move in relation to flange ,its not ####ed but would just need retiming pump to flange

Note for yourself for next time.I know it won't help now but ALWAYS mark pulleys, shafts and casings with a scriber before slackening anything off.
That way you have got a half decent chance of lining it up again without re-timing.
