Hi All,
Managed finally to change ignition on my Defender 110 2008 Puma so the key no longer falls out when driving!!
Now need to change door lock barrels and looked at all the threads on removing screw, easy peasy! NOOOOO!
The new locks on my Puma do not have a nice wee screw to remove. New lock barrels have a little copper coloured bayonet stud on them which is spring loaded, just need someone to explain how I get old ones out??? There are no visible screws to go at?
See photo below of what I'm looking at when door card and foam layer are removed:-

Space is a little tight so I'm hoping it's not window mechanism out jobbie!!!
Thanks for your help.

Its really easy small screwdriver removes the e-clip then all the barrel mech comes out, Then depress the brass button with key in lock and remove the barrel.
The mech can either be rebuilt into door lock and new barrel with key inplace pushed home
Job done !

Oh and get it greased up !

Hi Foxyred,
Thanks for info. Will try tomorrow after buying a new linkage clip as the old one fired off into the grass, DOOH!
Hope it's as easy as you say, Fingers crossed!

Hi Foxyred,
You are a legend! Once someone points you in the right direction was easyish!

Only problem I had was existing e-clip was very rusty and then fell between door and strengthening plate, NOOO!
No problem, I thought, went to local Huddersfield Independant, but "sorry we don't do e-clip you need!" They do come with a new door handle £60 +vat? I just wanted an e-clip and don't believe they force you to buy a new handle if they lose/damage e-clip when they're changing locking barrels, or do they?
Managed to get e-clip assorted box from local bolts & fastenings company for £3, shout out to Danletts.
Other door and rear door done in no time, no e-clip on rear door, just poke small headed screwdriver into bayonet hole and drag out with key, yeah.
Couple of photo's for reference, one showing lock and bayonet you need to press and other of new e-clip, and yes e-clip was moved clockwise post photo to ensure proper location!
