As matey above said, fresh oil and diesel is the one, if you want the black finish just mix a little black waxoyl with it

I found that if you mix around 10% gear oil in with Waxoyl it stops it from going hard.

l treated a friend’s static caravan chassis with this mixture about eight years ago, and it’s lasted eight seasons of welsh weather, the coating is still tacky and has not come off.
