Spent all day cleaning the garage to get the Fender in for head job

Mind your motor looks mint

thks, taken a hell a lot of work getting all the crap off the engine

still messing around replacing these front struts as i keep coming up to things that i might as well sort out at the same time

indeed , suprising how u think a simple job turns into something else

started with the struts , then, more sockets , long reach spanner’s, ratchet spanner’s, HD drop links, brass pushfit connector, special transfer oil, autobox oil, front and rear diff oil, engine filter, rear air suspension valve block , new jubilee stainless steel clips for the autobox inlet hose on the intercooler

at the moment i’m only on the front drivers side strut but fixing things along the way

i’m not looking forward to replacing my silicone hoses, got the drivers side done, heres the fun location of the small one that attaches to the turbo , it’s also buying extra tools in order to get where u need to due to shall we say restrictive, lol

but know at the end of the day it’s all done properly

pics arnt mine , but show where the hose is ive got to replace and also second pic is the turbo actuator arm i’ve need to grease up ,tucked down on the passenger side of the engine, got to remove wheel, inner wheel arch liner, heat shields , main battery, battery trays , comes in parts , inner heat shields , then FBH pipe, other cover then should be able to access both hoses and actuator arm,

but u know, still enjoying every minute of it and learning new things, inc by shopping around not having to pay the silly money land rover sometimes want

Mines a chain - should be ok when the head is off and the front cover removed - that seems the real issue on the transit engine! Lol
