Hi all I thought I would pop a poll in for recommendations on places to supply a front PTU for my FL2 2013 SD4.
I have found two places near me which look good and seem decent on the phone.
Obviously not using any of them before has anyone had any good or bad experiences. Or have I missed a good provider I should consider.

Bell Engineering have a good reputation, and used to be members on here.
Thanks Nodge68, that's my gut feel go to at the moment, bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. I was tempted to do this myself but as a main vehicle in the house and the spline wear issue it's not worth the hassle. I may just take it apart before exchanging.

Hello did you get your PTU sorted out in the end, if so by whom and how was your experience with the work etc.

I have tried to rebuild the PTU but failed on the pinion preload as you need to fabricate a tool from an old drive flange and a 41mm socket. It was worth a punt to save a few quid and got to see inside the PTU. I ended up using bell engineering bit more expensive but you get what you pay for.
My issue was the pinion bearings pitting but now have another deep bearing noise over 30mph and gets worse. Most likely a rear diff knowing my luck to steal some more beer tokens. 🍺

Hey Artic2, I used the good old fashioned phone and called Austin from Bell engineering to sort one out in the end. To do it yourself you would would need a proper locking tool to withstand at least a 1.5m bar to torque up the pinion preload
