Hi
I have a 300 tdi disco and the doughnut which I replaced about a month ago is damaged again

Has anyone any ideas why this might be

Also I'm looking for a remote to suit same but with two programmed fobs anybody no were I can get one

Cheers

the donut is there to make the drive of a standard disco more 'pleasant'.
is your land rover lifted from standard as this can cause the donut to be a weak link when thrashing down a lane etc.
i got round it like many by fitting a 200tdi rear prop and changed the coupler on the diff to suit, bit of a #### of a job but worth it as your not going to kill rubber donuts every week.

My friend had the same problem with his discovery, his was down to a faulty input bearing which eventually failed locking the rear end up completely. Would recommend you check just incase.

Without starting up a Britpart debate. My old Disco 300 needed a new donut and the BP one lasted a few months before it cracked and was worse than the one I took off. So I got a genuine kit from the dealer. It came with new bolts and wasn't much more. It's a while ago now so can't remember prices but worth thinking about.
