what is the actual definition of a propper landrover?

is it like saying an X type jag aint a propper jag cos its made for the masses and is relativly cheap??

thought all things landrover were equal?

all the different landrovers do all things equal but in a different way in my opinion

for me,
disco's too big.
defender not practical
rangerover too expensive to run/buy
rangerover sport outta my league......

as a landrover fan that only leaves one other way into the "landrover stable"

does it always have to be de-millitarized full on off-road mad max stylee to wear the green oval???

Git er gaylander [better then er tratter ] un yer dunt have to ave a pig int back un bit er straw in yer mouth. . . . .as long as yer dunt get yer doors wet it'll be ok. . . .

Up to the headlamps is OK. Been deeper than this - had water over the bonnet - but that's splashing rather than wading.

Cheers

anyone who says "defender not practical" obviously ant spent much (or more like any) time with one

especially if they don't like any model of landy cos them is too impractical, too big or too expensive but profess to being a fan of landies.

practical maybe, but not as comfortable as my freelander for covering 30k miles a year, mainly motorways !
found the freelander one of the most uncomfyest motors on a loooong drive (Dumfries to Polperro, Kernow), my deepender is better and soon tae be even more betterer;) :D

ya can't pull over, close yer curtains and have a kip in the back of your freebe, unless your 3' tall and dont have a missis, or dogs, or 3 weeks worth of food and camping gear with you

and be able to hose it out when ya get home

now thats a practical vehicle
