Every now and then i keep thinki g theres a project id lime to do if i ever get enough space, cash, and a spare commercial.
Id like to convert it to a pickup with hilux/nissan type roll bar in the back has anyo e done this or seen one?
I do t think it would take 2 much work either tbh..

That sounds quite cool! I always think a bowler wilcat inspired build would look good, with chequer plate replacing the hard top and 2 spare wheels mounted in it! Big lift and big mud tyres!

Maybe in the future!

Reg the back, im suprised no ones ever picked up on making different types for the commercial lime you see on hilux nissan efc that are wider taller..

Id lime to also may e make tge tailgate a dropdown maybe with a hinged window or leavi g as is spose it would still work..

My only question us why? The freelander is too short for a pickup to be much use.

There was a commercial that had a higher roofline aswell.

Loads of frontera sports have been pick uped. Have a google

Why not?
I spose ud class it as a ute not a pickup theres plenty of those around, plus it would be longer than the defender swb pickup wouldnt it?

The beauty of the hippo is if you want you can pop the roof off and undo 8 seat bolts and have as much space as you could ask for.

Don't get me wrong I love a project. But I never liked the frontera pickup conversions and iguess that a freelander would be in much the same vein.

Plus I would never convince the wife that it would be a good idea to throw away three seats. - that was half the reason i got it in the first place. ( my Volvo coupe only had 4 seats)
