Got myself a new project and daily driver.

It’s a 2004 Discovery td5 Landmark, bought it just over a month ago and have just put it into driving duties for the winter. Full service history, all the common td5 and discovery issues sorted within the last 10,000 miles with receipts to prove it. Some goodies on it already including snorkel, drilled and grooved discs, egr delete and completely renewed rear air suspension apart from the compressor.

Depending on how I get on with it I’m planning on building my idea of the ultimate discovery td5. Some ideas I have are double din radio conversion, rear view camera, remap running close to 200bhp, brake upgrade, handling upgrade, p38 Range Rover seats, LED lighting where possible. All oils and fluids changed.

Pictures will follow, double din conversion already underway as is the lighting side of things.

So first job sorted. Was done quick because I already had the surround made up from my last disco 2.

Radio is a pioneer sph da130, this unit has dab, Apple car play so has sat nav, music, hands free. Great way to modernise the entertainment system bringing it inline with a discovery 4 or 5.

I have used steering wheel controls to keep all the cars original functions on the steering wheel.
