Hi folks new to the forum, got me defender had it off road other day for 1st time, the thing is when i had it in full lock either way their was clicking noise but when i released it from full lock the noise stoped is this normal

CV joints in the front axle ???

if you have gig tyres they could be catching the radius arms, like mine where lol

It's yer CV joints.
It shouldn't do it, but if it's only on full lock don't worry yet. It'll go on fer ages before they give up completely.

depends.
if you do it yerself about 35 quid a side.

stealers would probly charge 2 hours labour per side plus their stoopid parts prices.

thats a good price..mind you it wouldnt have helped me as i needed one there and then.we spent 2 hrs trying to remove the fooked halfshaft from the cv and it would not budge, went to a breakers and he thought he had one,one tap with a copper mallet and the 2 came apart but it was the wrong one, even now the shaft will not come apart from the cv..so i had to have new halfshaft and cv..
