I used to like the R11,not the 9 though, bought and sold a few 11's,long time ago though.:).Also the Fuego, that was a good looking car at the time.
The R11 is one of Renaults accidental good cars, wifes R11 GTL is 30 years old and still going strong:D
How are you doing John?

Must depend where you are in France, lots of locals running Deux Chevaux's, R11's etc round here and old properties are being bought up and renovated by the Frence instead of the English.

Yes, this is true. The south of Mayenne near Angers is a rather pretentious lot, no 2 CV, R11 anymore around here. And the properties, Mayenne is the largest concentration of still privately owned Chateaux, with over 500 of them, but rather older families with histories going back to middle age.

About the Land Rovers, there are a few to sell around Angers (where I got the Classic in 1988 and the P38A this year), but it is not a very popular brand around here!

It reminds me of an English guy I was sort of working with at Saumur Cavalry school, he was so upset to see me riding the Classic with the VM engine, kept saying it was a real ****! Well, he was an expert in explosives and ammunitions, perhaps it did not detonate enough for him. I like the VM, and I did more than 250 000 km with it, in many countries. You just need to take care of it in permanence...
