Just replaced both front wishbones on my td4 as both ball joints were knackered.

All went well except i dont seem to be able to sufficiently tighten the ball joint nuts.
They should go to 65nm but even with the freeloader on its wheels with weight through the joints the nuts just spin the balls, as it were missus.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Worked a treat. Tight as my n*tsack now.

Now to get Malatesta Kobras fitted and off to local lenient MOT tester

Sailed through MOT.

Handling was a bit vague to say the least on the Kobras until I found that the garage had pumped them up to 40psi the f**kwits.

Finally replaced the VCU (at 133K miles) been meaning to for ages. The tightness on full lock has gone and the difference generally is quite noticeable. Great service from Bell Engineering. Only £307 for VCU and new bearings. Easy job to swap out. The old ****lander's now good for another year or two of abuse.
