Have you tweaked all those hose clamps? Usually if the pump bearing fails it won't run down the hose like that but out of the bottom of the PAS pump casting.

Taken it out for a drive to get engine warm. Oil light went off when I started to drive not straight after engine started. However it did not come back on again even when I left it idling for some time.

The leak appears to have slowed down however their is a small leak. The only part that looks wet but cannot see where it is coming from is near the water pump housing. See photo where you can see new water pump.

Also another thing I have noticed is that the coolant overspill in tank seems to have been dripping however filled upto cold mark? See pic

I think there is also a small power steering leak dripping from near bottom or radiator.

Also spotted something else whilst driving the subroofs are leaking loads of water starting coming out where the seatbelt are in front. This will need fixing as water on the floor pans surely isn't great either.

Why did I let the wide talk me into getting another disco!

unless its over filled ,visibly loosing coolant from tank like that means its overheating or pressurising, feel rad all over when its hot feel either side of thermostat both should be hot ,ensure systems full ie flows from bleed screw on top hose , pas pipes run under rad you may need a new 1 or 2

Power steering pipe will be leaking and need replacing, need to drop the radiator to replace, so time to kill two birds with the one stone.
The PAS pipe runs under the radiator from the Reserviour/pump to the Box on the other side of the chassis.

Circa £150 for the pipe

See inside water tank. See the brown marks etc this is what worried me when I took it to garage and got then to check the head. The water isn't overfilled but yet still can drip out of the overflow.

I loosened the bleed screw on top hose and coolant started to run. Is this hose supposed to be full as doesn't feel rigid and when squeezed can here air been pushed into coolant tank?

Sorry just reading last post better. The bleed screw ran when engine running should I try when it isn't running?

Have you replaced pump.if so did you refill and bleed with header tank removed and held as high as possible.i had similar last year leak same area so i replaced pump, hoses, clips stat and radiator.possible leak from your egr cooler.replace header tank cap genuine.the look in your header tank may mean you just need a good flush and fresh oat antifreeze.get your car up to full temp and check top hose if proper rigid and slight ballooning start to worry.

Looks like that pump needs replacing again mate if thars coolant that can be seen leaking through the power steering pump drive. When fitting a new pump the rubber gaskets could easily be slightly moved out of position. As someone had already suggested, get a good quality OEM pump. It loojs from your pics that your coolant system may be dirty.., any record of coolant being changed? If replacing pump discard old coolant and start again with correct spec treatment.

Thanks for posts.

Well yesterday my wife was using it for local school run and noticed a leak. On investigation it is power steering fluid. It seems to be coming from the water pump or more toward the front area. I am planning on having a good look this weekend. Where is then pas pump located could that be leaking or is it more like the pipes.

Not sure with coolant after reading more posts it appears that the cold level mark can sometimes come through overflow. I topped up at weekend and not really gone down yet but not had a long run. I will check the bleed screw when engine not running and see what happens. When the pump was changed garage put more coolant in as you could see it was pink but has progressively got to look like it is in pic. I am worried that their Maybe a more sinister problem.

Any pointers with pas leak and what I can do to investigate the coolant. If I have to remove rad to get to pipes / steering pump I suppose I could flush the coolant system at the same time.

I am no mechanic but I hope I haven't got a cylinder head problem. Garage did say they checked it and it does to overheat but still worried after money spent todate.
