I found in a breakers yard a Peugeot that had coiled plastic strips along the length of some fuel pipe, only noticed as I walked past so I removed it by unwinding it, it was about 3 feet long and I used it on my Rover v8 around fuel pipes and breather pipes. When uncoiled it looked like a long spring. Where you would actually buy this or what it's even called I have no idea. Just did a google search and found bugger all.

ah cheers, interesting.
so if i wrap both coolant pipes, the wrap will chafe and i can replace that later.
how does tie wraps work with two pipes floating in the air? i have seen it threaded through a bit of rubber pipe.. looks like it might work.
atm i have a couple of coolant pipes rubbing, one rubbing on the power steering reservoir on a 300tdi conversion.
i'll give them both a go and see what happens. ta

depending on the double clip you're looking for, I have a few of these knocking about, known as saddle clips, they have a red pvc coating, but underneath is copper.
electrical wholesalers sell them in bags of 100, used for clipping fire alarm cables (or indeed anything else that looks like it needs a saddle clip)
as an example, although not the cheapest (couldn't be arsed to search - I don't need them)
