i just took my disco 'swimming' on sun just gone. bonnets about 5.5inch higher than standard.
the wave was most the way up the windscreen and up the side windows. about a foot deep inside the car too, and leaking out the heater and radio - all electrics still work tho. only got snorkle on but no breathers so gonna drain my oils (prob mixed with water again) this week

Fuel tank breather is incorporated in the fuel filler cap. So as long as your not in over the fuel cap you'll be ok. As said before, if you keep moving chances of water getting into the fuel through the breather is minimal...... Good Luck, your a braver man than I. Deepest I had my Disco in was to the bottom of the doors, I was bricking it.....:crazy_driver:
you wrong on that point. there is a breather on the fuel tank that ends just under the rear floor.

when i found it i thought the pipe had been cut but having looked on my discovery it also has the very same pipe.
it just ends in a j shape and is open ended :)

the pipe in question is the one with the masking tape alongside it.

For the axle and transfer box breathers just use 6mm irrigation tubing from B&Q, connectors available there too.

so theres the two axels, transfer, and main gearbox. 4 in total that should be extended? and possibly fuel tank breather if going really deep?

then the two removable plugs in flywheel and timing cover?

is that everthing covered? sorry a lot of questions but just a summery of wots been said wud b good
