Just bought a straight through sports exhaust for my 300 tdi off eBay. Tried assembling it on the ground today before fitting it and the middle straight pipe doesn't fit into the back section. Spent two hours with file, blow torch and dremel and the bugger still won't fit. It's getting there but does anyone know any tricks to make them fit other than keep filing?
Thanks.

What make is it? I bought a britpart one and mine slotted together easily, the pain in the arse bit is getting the downpipe in place.

It was while dry fitting it on the ground that I found out it didn't fit. Don't know what make it is, but there were slots in the oversize part already. Ive got the flexi de cat down pipe, so I'm hoping it won't be too much of a pain to get into position. Took a grinder to it in the end tonight but I'm going to have to take some more off tomorrow. Got the MOT booked in for Wednesday, so it's gotta go on tomorrow!

Well it's on, after much fiddling and farting around trying to get the pipes to fit each other. Once that was done it was a piece of **** to fit. I wish I'd gone for a middle box, though. I'm not liking how loud it is now and I haven't really noticed much in the way of improved performance.
