The thing about the "tunit" tho is that its easily removed so you can take it from car to car if you deside to upgrade or sell.

surley you're better off with a chip specific to vehicle rather than a unit that covers hundreds?

i meant lean towards that over a Tunit

ok,the tunit and the chip are both set up for each and every vehicle that it is fitted to,ok the chip can be fine tuned but not to the extent that it would make much difference.

Tunit make 8 units that cover 2500 models...theyve never "seemed" very vehicle specific when ive looked at them, only adjustable with a dial

if you go on their site or ask them they tell you that each unit is specific for your model.

yeah you can look it up for "a" model, but they only have a range of 8 tunit units (sorry!)
You can use the P38 one on a Renault among others so its not really specific like remap etc.

Personally if I was spendin upwards of £350 on a power upgrade Id want it stuck on a machine in front of me with the graph up & say I want this much torque at this rpm etc etc

They can be fine tuned ( if required ) by the techs that install them. After just having one fitted, im finding the RR to have more speed power and seems to better on fuel.

it might be the same unit but it is made and tuned for each specific car.;)

I've just fitted an 'Easy-tune' chip to mine and it's mad a huge difference!
I got it from Diesel Bob's. Two plugs one wire 20 mins under the bonnet and the jobs done, it can also be adjusted to suit, all for £285.
Bargain I reckon!
