I bought a 51 plate TD4 which has had a retro fitted CD/Radio but when you turn the ignition off the radio resets all settings/clock etc. So my question is "Is there a constant supply available for the CD/Radio?" If so has this been fitted incorrectly? The steering wheel controls the volume OK!

Many Thanks and happy Freelanding

yep there is. whoever fitted the radio has switched and permanent feeds the wrong way round.

in case you can't fathom the wiring loom out, both switched and permanent feeds are available on spare terminals in the fusebox under the steering wheel, bottom left of the fuse board. used them both in mine, one for phone charger circuit and inverter circuit the other for hazard strobes. not sure if they're fused or not, so fitted mine with in line fuse.

Can you take a photo of where your taking both feeds from please mate? I couldn't find either switched or permanent when I fitted my spotlights, but to be fair I didn't really spend a long time looking. Cheers.

as OP says, the permanent and switched are the wrong way round! ISO was supposed to be a standard until certain manufacturers decided to swap these round! If the guy who fitted it used an iso adapter its just a case of swapping the red pin with the yellow pin and vice versa in the iso block :)

So to get my head around this, there will be a red and yellow feed from the loom going into the original land rover CD fittment then an ISO adapter like image below. Should I just swap the pins on the iso or swap the red/yellow into the old LR plug?

Many thanks all BTW

It doesn't really matter which of the pins you swap, on the landrover plug, the adaptor or just cut the wires and re solder them the other way round. Any of the suggestions will give the same result mate.
Hope you understand mate, if not just ask.
