hi there need a bit of help please does any know where you can get a power stering unit for a 2A and roughly how much it might cost. thanks.

usual trick is to fit the PAS from a defender - but it aint easy.

heres is one link.

if yu use a the Rangey conversion you have to move the front crossmember forward 5-inches to do it.

Need power steering or want power steering? For the fagging around unless you've a disability, but still want to drive Series motor it just int worth the ag'. ;)

Yeah, it's not that heavy really since whenever you steer you should be moving so it's pretty light, just stick a small wheel on and get one of those twisely knob things like you get on artic trucks and the like that help you turn the wheel quicker.

Acherly, seriously fer a mo', dunt git a twizzerly knob if you do any greenlaning/offroading. It'll break at least a few of your fingers. ;)

Aye me mates got one on her disco and it's a pain just driving on tarred roads..

Surely if ya steering it well serviced it should be light enough, It aint that heavy on my sereis and that gots moved with the wheels staionary.

if your shifting trailers about yer usually need to do a far bit of on the spot turning, it gets pretty hard work if your at it all day!! rather than fit power steering i'd rather install a kettle and stop for regular tea breaks/arm recovery time!! :D

well well, the talk in the world of rallying is to fit the electric power steering column from a Vauxhall Corsa. now has anyone out there done this?
