I wonder if anyone can help? I have had the power steering pump off my 1993 200tdi 90 and I am trying to refit it but when I try to fit the hose(10) to the rear of the pump with the the banjo bolt(9) the hose connector is tight against the rear of the pump housing and wont allow the hose connection to seal properly all the fittings are original as far as I can see in the manual. The hose isnt long enough to turn the banjo fitting downwards it has to go up to the rear of the pump.

That's the wrong pump for a 93 200tdi.

The pump in your picture is a NTC8287 or FF000604 (89-92), your's should be NTC9070 or FF003810 (92-on) should it not?

Not sure why but thats the pump fitted.

can you turn nut no 10 so a flat face is against the pump rather than a point? Are you sure washers no 5 and 6 are in place to space it out from the pump body? I don't suppose it would do any harm to put another no 6 washer in if you're desperate!

Tighten 10 when banjo is loose and then tighten banjo.
