Hi there just a quick question for you Freelander experts, can anyone tell me if the power steering pump from the K series and L series engines are the same, I have a freelander diesel 1998 S reg, and it has recently started leaking power steering fluid i cant see where its leaking but its spraying onto the belts seems to be where the pipes run from the power steering oil bottle cant see any hoses damaged and cant see right down to the pump.A friend seems to think it will be a seal on the pump, Is it the same pump as for the aircon or are they just next to each other? Any advise will be great many thanks. Yorkswhite

Updade the oil leak is from the power steering pump by the looks of things, still not sure if a 1.8 petrol power steering pump will fit tho, may have to sorce a L series one as no one seems to know if they are compatable.
