Afternoon

PAS pump is leaking on my 1989 "F" 90 2.5TD. Going to to replace with a new as its steadily got worse over 12 months to a point of using a fluid reservoir full a week!! Found a replacement on Rimmers for around £150? As Im a bit strapped for cash - just wondering if anyone has any "secret" little shops selling cheaper as i've been trawling google for hours!

Only other area that I know that you can get deals sometimes is Fleabay. I have had to source some parts there before, last was a PAS pump, which was NIB for 75 quid.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, i've been checking fleabay regular, and as luck has it, spotted one last night on for £50 or best bid, offered £30 n was accepted - just hope its up to scratch! For a side note, on fleabay there is a new seller called "seriesdefenderboys" who has lots of stuff for sale on best bid - offer half the price and work up by a bit - as said before the PAS pump was advertised for 50 but got it for 30 by best bid.......If its then will be checking other stuff, it appears he's breaking a 89 SW at the mo if anyone wants to look ;-)

Taking the engine out of my 90 in a couple of weeks if you can hang on till then I'll have one available (no leaks)

I struggled with mine leaking for a couple of years. Having not managed to find a replacement at a reasonable price I took the plunge and replaced some of the rubber seals; it leaked even worse. Added some brake fluid to the PAS fluid and all has been fine since!!!!!!!!!!!
