Just thought I would ask if anybody else has had a problem with sealing this dam pipe.

First o-ring I got with the hose I eased in quite carefully then carefully wound the backing nut into the pump to hold it in. This started weaping after after using it once, very slightly. Took it out and it was cut all around the outside as if it was slightly too big and caught when put in.

I have replaced it with one the same size this did exactly the same so I found a kit and put one in slightly smaller OD. This lasted 2 days and I found a weap this morning. Bloody bonnet hinges are going to need replacing soon.

Anyone else have similar issue, I checked the hose sealing face and the pump and they look fine? How the hell do you seal it?

had similar problem when i replaced my gearbox oil cooler, pipes kept weeping so after the 3rd o ring i used some liquid ptfe on the threads with another o ring and 1000 miles later still good

Yep, I have decided that pipes must be slightly different at the end. As usual found the cheapest replacements I could. New o-ring and wrapped ptfe tape around the oring and the pipe end. Don't want to speak to soon, but its ok at the moment. Not good though when you need to do these things. Should seal first time.

Well thought i had done it with some ptfe tape over the oring, no such luck. Fed up with this dam seal.

Ok rekon its sorted. Used a 7mm I'd by 1.5 mm o ring. Cleaned pipe with some fine emery and wrapped ptfe around the seal. Seams to have done the trick.
